Leash & Learn is for dogs and owners who find everyday walks a little more challenging than they should be and those wanting support on walks.
If your dog pulls on the lead, struggles to focus, becomes over-excited, finds being around others distracting or finds it difficult to engage with you, this class is for you.
We train in the places you actually walk from fields to public spaces.
This gives you and your dog the opportunity to build practical, workable skills around real-life distractions.
We work on things like loose lead walking, engagement, recall, over-arousal, working around distractions and others building better communication between you and your dog.
You’ll get clear, practical coaching and achievable steps to help you both feel more confident on walks, alongside the opportunity to connect with other owners.
This isn’t about perfection or obedience for obedience’s sake. It’s about helping your dog cope better with the world and helping you enjoy your walks again.
And our support doesn’t stop when class finishes. All Leash & Learn clients have access to our Hoof & Paws WhatsApp community, where you can connect with others, share your progress and ask us questions between sessions.

Children are welcome, however they must be supervised by an adult at all times.
For the safety and comfort of everyone attending, Hoof & Paws must be informed of any children attending on the booking form for the class.
Please note:
- All classes are carried out by an approved and vetted dog trainer.
- Please note: some locations may Incur parking charges at the location – Hoof & Paws can not be held responsible nor will we cover those charges.
- 1-1 sessions are available on request for dogs who may benefit from individual support before joining a group.
- Payment secures your place in the class.
Please note - this is a group class. If your dog struggles in the company of other dogs, rather than book this class please book a one-to-one.
